ISU War Dead Remembered

Iowa State UniversityRoger Farris, associate director of the the Iowa State University Memorial Union in Ames, checks over rubber mats on January 6, 1983 that contained more than 400 names of ISU students killed during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The names were being engraved on the walls by Huffaker Monument Company of Nevada, Iowa.

The names of those who lost their lives in World War I were engraved in the walls when the union was first built in 1928.
